DOLPHINARIUM
The dolphinarium is a place where the well-being of our dolphins is our top priority and where we strive to create an environment that reflects the natural conditions of their marine habitats, providing large pools, high quality water and appropriate mental and physical stimulation.
The dolphin facilities in our park are inspired by the caletones of Lanzarote, specifically in the Caletón Blanco near Órzola, and have the most advanced technologies for water treatment without the use of chemicals. Its lagoon occupies a sheet of water of 1,200 square meters, with an average depth of six meters and seven million liters of seawater.
Our dolphins belong to a third generation born in captivity in dolphinariums in Germany and the Netherlands. In order for these specimens to improve their quality of life, the European Endangered Species Program (EEP), in accordance with the opinion of its experts and the European Association of Aquatic Mammals (EAAM), made the decision for them to be transferred to Lanzarote. That happened in November 2016 and, since then, they have enjoyed these modern facilities in good health thanks to the quality of the seawater that fills their pools, the balanced diet they receive and the controls and care of the team of expert biologists and veterinarians. and caregivers who ensure their well-being.
In addition to caring for our dolphins, we also focus on the importance of preserving the ocean and its biodiversity. Through educational programs and awareness-raising activities, we teach our visitors about the importance of conserving marine ecosystems, reducing pollution and protecting endangered species. At Rancho Texas Park we believe that caring for our dolphins and protecting the ocean go hand in hand. Our commitment is to not only offer exciting experiences for our visitors, but also inspire positive change towards a sustainable marine future
